March 20th 2013- NYC Macaron Day

Heyyyyyy guysss! This post is looong overdue....

Let me start off by saying HAPPY SPRING!!!.....Or should I say Happy belated Spring and hello summer! I wanted to do so many blog post but school and work had taken over my life. I have to say this past semester had to be far most one of the WORST semesters. For all the people out there who continue to balance school and work I just want to give a quick shout out for working hard and trying to stay focusing. For people who are adding kids to this equation I take my hat off to you. School and work...not  a good mixture at all man. The good thing is I passed all my classes with a B+ average but would of done much better if I didn't lack time management skills, sleep, and so forth. Whenever I came home from work it was so hard to stay focus and get my work done because I was forever tired. I as well as others should just be able to focus on school and actually living life but we all know how college expenses are...Anywho the one day I had off-since I started work was dedicated to enjoying macaron day. Macaron day basically was a day for sampling macarons as well as getting to know all the bakeries who make them. What I like about it the most wasn't only the fact that some locations offered you macarons for free but it was also the fact that the proceeds were donated to the organization City harvest, which dedicates it's work to giving meals to the less fortunate. Not only was I gonna be able to get great macarons but it also felt good to know the money I spent was going towards a great cause. It was such a nice day I walked over the manhattan bridge along with my bf to experience not only the beautiful wind but also great art.

I love Graffiti. I am always mesmerized by the use of color as well as typography. When people say graffiti isn't art I seriously just shake my head at them.

Baby got back

I love walking around and finding random things lol. Does anyone remember this chair? A similar one was featured in GD & Tops Knockout video. I just found it both funny and awesome. The following picture was of another chair but this one had a face. It was kinda creepy when you look at it from different angels lol.

Popeye the sailor man graffiti art

Walking some more we came across another awesome graffiti piece that featured popeye the sailor man. I didn't have time to get the artist name but this piece was seriously dope. I loved it.  

Tatty Devine lobster necklace

Everyone knows how much I love the store Patricia fields. The employees are awesome to look at because they all have their own unique style but the items you find here are even more awesome. Just like this Lobster necklace. Like seriously, a lobster necklace. lol

Clutch Bag with pearls

Another beauty. I love the design of this clutch bag. So awesome. There were some items I wanted to go back and buy but by the time I went back everything was sold out. Especially the marilyn monroe beanie hat I wanted so badly. ;____; My lifeee.


After looking around in some boutiques I headed down to Macaron Parlour to see which macarons I wanted to buy. All of the flavors I was interested in were gone so I just got two free ones then went to spot dessert bar. Macaron parlor had the most diverse of flavors especially the Cheetos flavor which is the one to the right in the following picture. Yes Cheetos flavor. What!? is right lol I have yet to try this flavor I just stuck with the tiramisu. Next time I go back I want to try the candid maple bacon. mmm bacon..

By the time I made it to spot all of the flavors I wanted were gone as well. smh I seriously wanted the Red velvet and Matcha chocolate ones. I was so mad lol. So not only did I have to go with flavors I was not interest in I purchased the last ones-Raspberry rose and taro flavored .

They were not bad though. The raspberry ones had jam in the center. After I came home I just took some pictures because I loved my makeup for that day. I received alot of compliments and was very appreciative. Especially since I wanted to do more but didn't have the time because I had class. The same class I'm so happy is OVERRRRRRRR!!!!

So in conclusion I had a great macaron day and I'm seriously looking forward to the next one! Hoping I can make some more post soon! Thanks for reading once again and thanks to the new follower! Take care guys! tilll next time!
